Nothing can prepare you for the immensity of this reserve, nor its remote, wild & mysterious beauty. Your immediate impression is one of unending space & of having the entire reserve to yourself with waist-high golden grasses that seem to stretch interminably – a harsh sprawling landscape that is home to giraffe, cheetah, hyenas and wild dog.
Starting in Twee Rivieren where the red dunes and scrub fade into infinity, our tour takes us north where imposing camel thorn trees provide shade for huge black-mane lions – this is the Kgalagadi Transfrontier park which lies in the large sand-filled basin in the west of the southern African subcontinent, known as the Kalahari.
Experience sunset on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, a houseboat on the Okavango Panhandle, Bushmen paintings at UNESCO World Heritage site, Tsodilo Hills, Tree House accommodation overlooking the Kavango River & Bwabwata National Park, Caprivi, Chobe National Park & one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world – the mighty Vic Falls.
Starting in Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, the worlds largest salt pan landscape, travelling to Maun & the western panhandle of the Okavango, via Tsodilo Hills, up to the wonderful unspoiled peace of Ngepi Camp situated on the Kavango River across from Bwabwata National Park, Caprivi. The tour culminates at Chobe National Park & one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world – the mighty Vic Falls.
